Once you've launched your website with Dapper Site Builder, you might want to change its appearance later. Here's how to do it:
Updating Your Website
Most of the website updates you'll want to do -- ESPECIALLY editing the things you declared during your initial setup -- can all be done within the theme customizer within WordPress. To access this:
- Log into your website's dashboard with the provided credentials
- On the left menu, click Appearance, then Themes
- Next to the active theme, click the Customize button
- You can also change the active theme by clicking a different one.
- On the left side, there will be a list of fields you can update; for example:
- Site Identity: Change the Logo of your site
- Theme colors: Change the theme
- Welcome: Change your headshot, company name, agent name, and so on
- Social media: Add links to your SMS pages
- Blog: Choose which blog posts you want to show on your website; use a managed feed like Compass or the LA Times, or click "My Own Blogs" to show your written blog pages.
- On the right side, you can scroll through your landing page and change each element by clicking the pencil icon next to each one. Some parts are controlled within the WordPress dashboard, so they can't be edited here.
- Once you've made the desired changes, click the Publish button in the upper left.
