How to Create a New Page + Add Content, Images

Step 1: Logging into the WordPress Dashboard

  • To begin, open your web browser and navigate to your WordPress site's login page: ""

Step 2: Accessing the Pages Section

  • Upon successful login, you will land on the WordPress Dashboard. Look for the "Pages" option on the left-hand sidebar.
  • Click on the "Pages" option to proceed to the page management section.

Step 3: Adding a New Page

  • Within the Pages section, you will see a list of your existing pages. To add a new page, click the "Add New" button located at the top of the page.

Step 4: Entering Page Details and Content

  • You will be redirected to the page editor, where you can begin creating your new page.
  • Start by entering a descriptive title for the page in the provided text field.
  • Below the title, add your page's content using the WordPress editor. 
  • You can also insert images, videos, or other media by clicking the "Add Media" button.
    • Click "upload files"
    • Click "select files" and upload the images you want to insert
    • Select the uploaded image, then click "insert into page"

Step 5: Saving the Page

  • Once you have finished creating your new page or if you wish to save your progress, click the "Save Draft" button on the right side of the page editor.
  • If you are ready to publish the page and make it visible to your site's visitors, click the "Publish" button instead.

Step 6: Viewing the Newly Added Page

  • Congratulations! You have successfully added a new page to your WordPress site. You can view your new page by clicking the "View Page" link that appears after saving or publishing the page.
